Chic Haven Home of the Trendsetters

Sunny Winter Days in Rancho Mirage

So it’s that time of the year again when we spend the weekends with his parents in Rancho Mirage, CA. I always look forward to the Friday evening drive from LA (where I nap most of the way :)), the Saturday morning breakfast with his parents followed by a hike at the Bump-n-Grind Trail or a walk to the local street fair at the College of the Desert, Laying by the pool (soaking up some sun and getting that Vitamin D that I lack lol), Dinner with his family, thrift shopping, Sunday Morning Service at Southwest Community. Church, etc. The weekends are simply about spending quality time with family, relaxing, appreciating nature, and sometimes shopping (I said sometimes). Aahhhh! Bliss.

Here are some photos from this past weekend.

…and then came my a vintage shopping excursion. Sadly, I only made it to one store though. I spent too much time going through the racks. I felt like a fat kid in a candy store! Ha! (See future Fine Art of Design post).

OOTD
Shorts and Top – Heavenly Couture, $16 each!!! I think the top was on sale for $8.
Flats – Dirty Laundry from DSW. Also a major steal for under $20. Similar here.
