All hail the queen of queen of R&B and Hip-Hop (my opinion). I love love love this chick. I remember back in the 90′s jamming to the Fugees at house parties in Nigeria… I remember my cousin and I watching Sister Act over and over again, and pretending to be Lauryn (singing our hearts out)… I remember replaying the Miseducation album on my CD Walkman… I listed to “Zion” a million times, my CD began to skip! Oh, the good old days.
She’s been in the news lately for various reasons - pregnancy, the split from her longtime partner, the recent 2012 Summer Jam, tax evasion, gossip/rumor that she’s dating Nas (talk about an insane music collaboration from the King and Queen, Goodbye Bee & Jay – ZED) …. the list is endless. Well, she’s now on everyone’s radar. Positive or negative publicity? Who cares! I speak for all her fans and followers when I say, “We are definitely looking forward to her FULL return to music and tired of the piecemeal ish.” Chic Haven wishes you well!
